Entrance and Corridor Care — ¥9,500

The parts of your home that everyone passes through, kept accordingly

A ninety-minute recurring visit for the entrance floor, shoe storage, corridor walls, and the doors between — weekly or fortnightly, as suits the household.

Back to home

What this visit delivers

An entrance that holds its standard between visits

The entrance and corridor of a home are its most used spaces and its first impression — for everyone who lives there and everyone who arrives. They are also the areas where outside is most persistently brought in: soil on soles, moisture from umbrellas, the particular smell of enclosed shoe storage.

Entrance and Corridor Care is a ninety-minute recurring visit directed entirely at these spaces. Nothing is rushed, nothing is skipped, and the standard is consistent each time. The result is that a part of your home that would otherwise require constant small attention is simply taken care of — on a schedule that has been agreed in advance and does not require you to remember it.

Why these areas are difficult to maintain

Constant use makes consistent upkeep genuinely hard

A kitchen can be cleaned after use. A bathroom has a natural moment for attention. The entrance and corridor have neither — they are in use throughout the day, and by the time things have settled enough to clean, something else needs doing.

In households with children, or homes shared between several people, the pace of accumulation is faster still. The entrance floor marks with every journey. Shoe storage builds odour without ventilation. Corridor walls at hand height show contact over weeks.

These are not signs of an untidy household. They are the natural consequence of a home that is well used, and they respond well to regular, focused attention.

Who this service suits

Entrance and Corridor Care is suited to households where the front of the home sees regular coming and going. Families with school-age children are the most common case — the entrance floor receives more in a school week than most households accumulate in a month.

Shared homes benefit for a different reason. When several people use the same entrance and corridor, no single occupant feels that cleaning it is their particular responsibility. A recurring visit removes the question entirely.

It is also a useful first service for households who want to understand how Orbit Lab Blend works before committing to a longer engagement. Ninety minutes is a contained scope, and the result is immediately visible.

What makes this approach effective

Focused scope, consistent cadence

Deodorising treatment included

Enclosed shoe storage builds odour over time. Each visit includes a deodorising treatment applied after cleaning, so the interior of the storage stays neutral between visits.

Mat washing on rotation

Entrance mats are washed on a rotating schedule as part of the visit, so they are not simply cleaned around but actually maintained as part of the space.

Wear noted as it appears

If flooring or plaster is beginning to show wear at points of regular contact, we include a note in the visit summary. Caught early, these things are easier to address.

Scope

What the visit covers

Area Tasks performed
Entrance floor Full sweep and mop of the floor surface, step edges cleaned, threshold strip wiped, mat lifted and cleaned beneath
Shoe storage Interior shelves wiped, exterior surfaces cleaned, deodorising treatment applied, door hinges and handles included
Entrance mat Washed on rotation as part of the visit schedule; dried and replaced before staff depart
Corridor floor Full length sweep and mop, skirting board wipe at floor level, any runner or mat lifted and cleaned beneath
Corridor walls Hand-height marks addressed, light switches and socket surrounds wiped, wall surfaces spot-cleaned along the full corridor length
Doors Both faces of all doors between entrance and main living areas cleaned, handles and finger-plate areas included, door frames wiped at accessible height

Scope is confirmed at the first visit. Items outside the above may be added by agreement.

Arrival

What happens in the first ten minutes

On arrival

Staff introduce themselves and confirm they are attending for Orbit Lab Blend. Identification is carried at all times and available on request.

Walk-through

A brief walk from the entrance through to the end of the corridor, noting anything that has changed since the previous visit or any particular area you would like attended to first.

Confirmation

The day's task list is confirmed aloud before work begins. Any adjustments — an area to add, something to defer — are agreed at this point, not discovered at the end.

The visit itself

Ninety minutes, start to finish

Minutes 0–10

Arrival and confirmation

Walk-through, task list confirmed, any changes agreed. Equipment is set out before work begins so nothing is interrupted once started.

Minutes 10–45

Entrance area

Floor, step edges, shoe storage interior and exterior, mat washed and set to dry, deodorising treatment applied. The entrance is completed before moving through.

Minutes 45–80

Corridor and doors

Floor, walls at hand height, light switches, all door faces, handles and frames. Work proceeds toward the main living area and the corridor is left in order behind.

Minutes 80–90

Wrap and note

Mat replaced, equipment cleared away, brief walkthrough to confirm scope was completed. Any observation — a mark on the wall, a tile showing wear — is noted for the visit summary.

Cadence

Weekly or fortnightly — your choice

The frequency that makes sense depends on how the home is used. A family with two or three children at school may prefer weekly visits through the school term. A couple with straightforward daily patterns often finds fortnightly sufficient.

We generally suggest starting with fortnightly visits and adjusting after the first month if the pace does not feel right. Some households discover that weekly visits through winter — when more is brought in from outside — and fortnightly in summer is the pattern that suits them.

There is no fixed contract. Cadence can be adjusted with reasonable notice, and visits can be paused over holidays or travel without penalty.

Why the approach holds

Why a focused visit works

A ninety-minute visit that covers only the entrance and corridor can reach a standard that a general clean cannot, because none of the time is spent elsewhere. Every minute is directed at the space that needs it most.

Why recurring matters

A single deep clean of an entrance holds for a few weeks before accumulation resumes. A recurring visit catches each cycle before it consolidates, so the space stays at a consistent standard rather than cycling between clean and not.

What the wear note adds

Someone attending the same space regularly notices gradual change that a household member, surrounded by it daily, may not. A note passed early — a floor seal beginning to lift, a scuff that has become a mark — gives the household the choice to act before the issue becomes larger.

Our commitment

What you can rely on

The scope of each visit is confirmed before it begins. If the agreed areas were not completed within the ninety minutes — due to anything on our side — we will return to finish them at no additional charge.

We also aim to send the same person to your home for each visit. Should a change be unavoidable, you will be notified in advance. A new member of staff receives a handover note from their predecessor before attending for the first time.

If you want to understand what the visit covers before committing to a schedule, we are glad to answer questions first. There is no obligation attached to asking.

How to get started

Getting a recurring visit in place

Step one

Write to us

Use the contact form or write to info@orbit-labblend.com. Tell us roughly how many people are in the household and whether you are thinking weekly or fortnightly. We will respond within one working day.

Step two

Confirm the first visit

We agree a date for the first visit. At this visit the scope is confirmed in person, and we discuss whether the proposed cadence makes sense or whether an adjustment would suit the household better.

Step three

The schedule runs

Subsequent visits proceed on the agreed schedule. You receive a reminder before each one and a brief note after. Cadence adjustments can be made at any time with a week's notice.
